Government intends to draft a new draft of the law of oil and gas

Tomorrow Press / Baghdad revealed to Oil and Energy Committee in the House of Representatives, on Tuesday, the government’s intent to write a new draft law of oil and gas in the coming period and in line with the new data, the oil and conventions.

The committee member said Tariq Rashid friend for "tomorrow Press", "The Return of Parliament in 2011 draft oil and gas law, which the government sent him in 2007 because of objections to some of the items and paragraphs."

He explained that "the government during the past period there have been no amendment to this draft oil law."

Rashid said that "the oil ministry told us about the direction to write a new draft apply to the new reality of Iraq in line with the requirements of the current stage and meet the aspiration of all the political parties," stressing that "this legislation is one of the national paper under which the current government was formed items."

Iraq relies, by 85%, on oil as well as Iran and Russia Almtdharran elder with Iraq at a lower price, as a result, the Iraqi government was forced to announce, an austere operations, generally in the country in an attempt to fill the budget deficit, as well as the government announced Iraq, reducing the Cabinet salaries 50%.

Baghdad {Alforat} -MP Ibrahim Bahrulolom of the Citizen Coalition assured that Kurdistan Region started exporting crude oil within the framework of the Baghdad-Erbil Agreement.


Bahrulolom told Alforat "There should be technical committees between the two sides to regulate the running of the agreement."
