Incident: According to a source familiar with, that the judiciary has issued a judgment in absentia to seven years in prison against the former central bank governor, Sinan al-Shabibi, two days after the appointment of Ali Keywords governor of the Bank and the assignment of Abdel Basset Turki on retirement.

It is noteworthy that the Supreme Judicial Council announced (October 19, 2012), the issuance of an arrest warrant for central bank governor and many officials in corruption cases, after the media quoted, in (October 14, 2012),
about the sources of control that the judiciary issued a memorandum Shabibi arrest warrant on charges of corruption, noting that "he traveled out of the country after the issuance of the note, with the bank denied those reports, saying that the governor was involved in an annual conference in Tokyo, and will return to Baghdad."
Ironically, the decision comes two days after the appointment of the Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers on the Keywords central bank governor,
